Grassy Grove Thank You Card

Hello and welcome! I've entered this card in Kylie Bertucci's May International Blog Highlights contest! This is another Watercolour Wash Background card! I hope you like it--and, if you do, I'd be very grateful if you would vote for me, pleasePlease click on the button below to go to Kylie's blog, and vote by clicking on the top right corner of the thumbnail of my card (#4), until you see the heart turn redThank you so much for your support!!

Several years ago I made a Mountain Air Watercolour Wash card inspired by a technique that I learned from Sherrill Graff. This is a really fun technique, and I used it to make this card.

This technique is actually very easy, and you get a different result every time! I hope that you'll vote for my card, and then check out my brand-new YouTube channel--the link is below.
Here is another card made using the same technique
and our Grove Dies.
Thanks very much for stopping by--and for voting!!! If you like my card, please vote here--then remember to click on the top right corner of the thumbnail of my card (#4) until the heart turns red--that way you know that your vote is registered:

Full Directions for My Grassy Grove Thank You Card:
  1. Cut the following layers:
    • Basic Black cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
    • Fresh Freesia cardstock: 5-1/4" x 3-3/4"
    • Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper: 5" x 3-1/2"
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/4" x 4" (for inside)
  2. Fold and burnish the card base.
  3. Adhere the Fresh Freesia layer with Stampin' Seal.
  4. Hold Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper under unning water, then place on paper towels. Using a Water Painter, dip into ink refills (Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue, and Tahitian Tide), and put on wet paper. Spritz with a Stampin' Spritzer to blend inks if necessary. Try to eliminate puddles by tipping excess ink onto paper towel. Allow to dry (overnight is best).
  5. Stamp the sentiment, ground, deer, and trees with Tuxedo Black Memento.
  6. Add more black ink to the ground using a Sponge Dauber.
  7. Wrap 28" of Linen Thread around the card front, tie into a bow, and adhere to the card base with Stampin' Seal.
  8. Adhere the Basic White piece on the inside of the card.
  9. Adhere three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.
