Pretty Prints Thank You Card #2

Hello, and thanks for visiting my blog! And thank you VERY much for voting for my card--it placed first in Kylie Bertucci's November International Blog Highlights competition!! I am so excited to be part of a group of such creative designers from all around the world, and to have been invited to participate in the Top Ten Winners' Hop again! (I am posting my winning card at the bottom of this blog entry, in case you didn't see it.)

Pretty Prints Thank You Card #2

My Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) had been gathering dust on the shelf for quite some time. It is such a beautiful collection of patterned papers, so I felt badly that I wasn't using it! I dusted it off, and used it for my last two Winners' Hops.

This is a modification of a U-fold design we used in yesterday's Mystery Stamping portion of our team meeting. I hadn't yet created a card for today's post at that point, and I really liked this design, and thought it was a unique fun-fold card!

Here is the card I submitted for this month's contest. Thanks again for voting it into first place! To see more photos and directions for the card below, click here.

If you live in Canada 🇨🇦 and don't presently have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd love to help you out! Shopping links are below.

Joyful Flurry Catalogue CASE

Welcome to our November Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop! This month we are CASEing the catalogue! CASE means to Copy And Share Everything!

I used our Joyful Flurry bundle to create this card.

I also used our 2022-2024 In Color Designer Series Paper (DSP). I made a couple of changes from the card, which is in our July-December Mini Catalogue on page 75. I didn't have the DSP in Balmy Blue, so used Tahitian Tide from the In Color DSP pack. The recipe said the stamped sentiment and Blending Brush ink was Starry Sky, but I thought it looked like Orchid Oasis, so I used that (and I still think it's Orchid Oasis 😉). Full directions and shopping links are listed below.

Full Directions for My Joyful Flurry Catty CASE Card:
  1. Cut the following layers:
    • Pool Party cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"--score at 4-1/4"; 2-3/4" x 3/4" (stamp sentiment in Orchid Oasis, die cut with small banner die from Frosted Flurry Dies)
    • 2022-2023 In Colour DSP: 3-1/2" x 5" (die cut with snowflake dies as shown)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 3-3/4" x 1-3/4" (stamp two large snowflakes with Versamark; heat emboss with white embossing powder; die cut with large banner); 3-1/2" x 2" (stamp two snowflakes with Orchid Oasis ink; die cut with Frosted Flurry Dies)
    • Real Red & White 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper: (die cut 5 small snowflakes from white)
  2. Adhere DSP to card base, being careful not to glue arms of snowflakes.
  3. Adhere white glimmer snowflakes and one Basic White snowflake to DSP layer.
  4. Add Orchid Oasis ink to larger banner with Blending Brushes. Wipe excess ink off banner with a paper towel. Adhere to card with Dimensionals.
  5. Cut 9" of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon; colour with Orchid Oasis Blends; add to card with Mini Glue Dots, being sure glue dots will be under Basic White snowflake.
  6. Add second white snowflake and small "Let it Snow" banner to card front, using Liquid Multipurpose Glue and Mini Dimensionals where necessary.
  7. Add three Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems to card front.

Framed Florets Thank You Card

Stampin' Up!® just released an absolutely gorgeous Fitted Florets Collection, which is available now! The Framed Florets stamp set and dies will be part of the new January to July Mini Catalogue. There are also three time-limited products which you can get only while supplies last, or until January 4th--the Framed & Festive stamp set, the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, and the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls. I used the Framed Florets bundle to make this card. Remember that you can save 10% by buying the bundle. Shopping links are listed below.

Originally I used the silver Festive Pearls on this card,
shown here. The photo above has our Rhinestone
Basic Jewels. Hmmm... which do you prefer?

The background for this scene was made by adding colours with Blending Brushes. This is one of my favourite ways to colour a background! It's quick, beautiful, and you get a different result every time! See the full directions for this card below.

I love the oval dies in this set! I used one of them to cut the silver foil frame. I wasn't sure whether to make my scene in portrait or landscape orientation, so I tried both. What do you think?

Here is the Fitting Florets Collection. Remember that several parts of this are available only while supplies last--so check out my Shopping Links below!

Thanks very much for stopping by--and for voting!!! If you like my card, please vote here--then remember to click on the top right corner of the thumbnail of my card (#12) until the heart turns red--that way you know that your vote is registered:
