Relaxing Waterside - June Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop

 

Welcome to our June Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop! This month we are creating a card using a Sketch Challenge (see below), which I love doing! 😊 The sketch always helps me out with my design, although you'll notice that I followed it very loosely this time. In fact, one of my teammates wondered if I'd followed the sketch at all! 🤣 (Here's a challenge--see what you can see that follows the sketch, and how it's different. 😉)

Here is the sketch we used for our challenge.

I used the Relaxing Waterside Bundle for this card, which I love! This has been an extremely popular suite! 

I stamped the chair and book images onto some Country Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP), and then die cut them. I used a Water Painter, and picked up some Coastal Cabana ink, and painted a wash for the water, and then used a Blending Brush to add some Azure Afternoon ink to the background for the sky. 

I stamped the seagull and the sentiment (which was die cut with a Stylish Shapes Die). I die cut the bullrushes, and added all of the pieces to the background. (Did you notice that those last three elements were in place of the three flowers?) I added some Shimmering Dots and Linen Thread (ha!--a regulation element! 😉) to finish the card.
