Thanks to all of you who voted for my card in Kylie's October International Blog Highlights competition--my card came in second place!! I was invited to participate in Kylie's Top Ten Winners Blog--which is pretty exciting!! If you didn't see my October card, I have added it to the bottom of this blog post.
Here are the directions for this card. It is a fairly quick one to make! It has several elements that give it a bit of shine!! Fold an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Pacific Point card base (scored at 4-1/4"). Cut a frame from the shiny Silver Foil Specialty Pack, using the largest two Stitched Rectangles Dies. Cut a 3-5/8" x 5" piece of Pacific Point cardstock. Using Versamark ink and the snowflakes stamp, stamp randomly on the smaller piece of Pacific Point cardstock, add silver embossing powder, and set with a heat tool.
Cut a 3-5/8" x 1/2" piece of silver foil, and emboss with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed silver strip over the embossed snowflakes piece, about 1-1/4" from the bottom. Adhere the silver frame to this layer, and then to the card base.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark on a 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Pacific Point cardstock, emboss with silver embossing powder, and set it with a heat tool. Die cut the label with the Potted Succulents die, and the same label in silver foil. Cut the silver label horizontally, and then glue to the back of the Pacific Point label, so about 1/16" of the silver shows above and below the coloured label. Attach the label with Dimensionals over the silver "ribbon". Die cut three snowflakes from silver foil, and add them to the card with thin strips of Dimensionals.
Here is the card I submitted in Kylie's contest--it's a cool fold-flat (which fits into an envelope!) fun-fold card.
