Welcome to the July edition of our West Coast Creators Blog Hop! This month, we are celebrating our 15% off sale on select Designer Series Papers (DSPs)!! We have nine packages of paper on sale (see the photo below to see which ones!). I decided to feature the beautiful Hand-Penned DSP. My card below uses 4 of the 12 patterns in this pack.
I started with one of the floral pieces, which I cut with the second largest Stitched Rectangles die. Then I cut out the stitched circles with the circular Picture This die. I used the same die to cut small circles from three other patterns of the paper. I stamped the sentiment (from the Artistically Inked stamp set) in Memento onto the green striped DSP.I used an 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” (scored at 4-1/4”) Highland Heather card base, and then adhered a black 4” x 5-1/4” mat to it. I cut a Mint Macaron layer with the largest Scalloped Contours die. I placed the floral DSP over the Mint Macaron layer, and glued all of the circles in place, matching the floral patterns of the three cut out circles. Next, I used Dimensionals to adhere the floral DSP to the scalloped layer.
I coloured some Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon with a Light Mint Macaron Blends, then wrapped it around the card front (and through the scallops) and tied it in a knot. I added a Bumblebee embellishment with a glue dot, and added three Genial Gems to complete the card.
