Bird's Eye View Thank You Card--Top Ten Winners' Blog Hop

Hello, and thanks for visiting my blog! And thank you VERY much for voting my card into the Top Ten in Kylie Bertucci's July International Blog Highlights competition!! I am so excited to be part of this group of amazing designers from all over the world, and to have been asked to participate in the Top Ten Winners' Hop again! (I am posting my Top Ten card at the bottom of this blog entry, in case you missed it.)

This is actually a quick card to create! I love using our Blending Brushes to make beautiful backgrounds for cards!

I wasn't too excited with the Bird's Eye View stamp set at first. However, I have seen so many cute cards made using it, so I thought I should get it and give it a go! I'm quite happy with how this card turned out. I hope that you like it, too.

Here is the card I submitted for this month's contest. Thanks again for voting it into the Top Ten! To see more photos and directions for the card below, click here.

Little Dreamers Baby Card--Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop

Welcome to our July Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop! This month we are creating cards that use NO Basic White or Very Vanilla!

This was a challenging project for me! I decided to create a monochromatic card using Little Dreamers Bundle. The cute little lion is stamped on Bubble Bath cardstock, and the sentiment is stamped on our Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper. The Berry Burst strip below them is also from the same DSP pack.

I also used our Basics 3D Embossing Folders, our 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack, and Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio.

Here's another option, using a different
Bright & Beautiful DSP with a white background, and a white label.

Be sure to check out my friends' beautiful creations below!!

Seaside Bay Thank You Card with Embossed Splats

Hello, and welcome! I've entered this card in Kylie Bertucci's July International Blog Highlights contest! This is a double-embossed fun-fold card! I hope you like it--and, if you do, I'd be very grateful if you would vote for me, pleasePlease click on the button below to go to Kylie's blog, and vote by clicking on the top right corner of the thumbnail of my card (#8), until you see the heart turn redThank you so much for your support!!

This card is very similar to a fun-fold card I made a while back. But this time, I wanted to make a shiny, wet-looking background.

Unfortunately, this photo doesn't show how shiny this background is.

I started with the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folders, choosing the Splatters one. I dry embossed the Night of Navy Cardstock layer, and then clear heat-embossed it. It made the navy much darker, and it really does look wet! I hope that you'll vote for my card, and then check out my brand-new YouTube channel--the link is below.

Thanks very much for stopping by--and for voting!!! If you like my card, please vote here--then remember to click on the top right corner of the thumbnail of my card (#8) until the heart turns red--that way you know that your vote is registered:
