Soft Seedlings Thank You Card

Soft Seedlings Thank You Card

I used our Soft Seedlings stamp set to create this card. It is one of our "Distinktive" stamp sets, which gives a great variation and depth of colour by stamping only once. 

This card is a fun-fold card, which is fairly quick to make.

The Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder is gorgeous! Once the Shimmery White layer is dry embossed, I added colours with a Blending Brush.

I stamped a maple leaf inside, and a tab at the right folds the outer maple leaf over the front of the card.

Polished Dots finish off the card front.

Full Directions for My Soft Seedlings Thank You Card:

1. Cut the following layers:
• Calypso Coral cardstock: 11" x 4-1/4", scored at 5-1/2"
• Merry Merlot cardstock: 5-1/8" x 3-7/8", 3-1/4" x 3-7/8", scored along the short side at 2-3/4"
• Shimmery White cardstock: 5" x 3-3/4", 2-1/2" x 3-3/4"
• Basic White cardstock: 5-1/4" x 4" (for inside)
2. Stamp leaf with Soft Saffron, but before stamping, use Sponge Dauber to add Crushed Curry to seed parts, Mango Melody to inside of leaf, then add Cajun Craze, and finally, Cherry Cobbler around the edges of the leaf. Huff on the stamp, and press onto smaller Shimmery White cardstock layer.
3. Use a Blending Brush to add Soft Saffron to the background around the leaf.
4. Stamp sentiment in Cherry Cobbler. on the larger Shimmery White piece.
5. Run this layer through embossing machine with Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder.
6. Use Blending Brushes to add Soft Saffron to flat (non-embossed) part of layer. Add remaining colours to embossed area. 
7. Use Stampin' Seal to adhere card front to Merry Merlot cardstock layer, and then to Calypso Coral card base.
8. Wrap a piece of Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon around the layer below the maple leaf. Tape to the back, and then take a 5" piece and tie a know. 
9. Use Stampin' Seal to adhere maple leaf layer to Merry Merlot piece, then adhere tab of Merry Merlot so that scored edge is even with the right edge of inside of card base, and leaf section folds over right side of card front.
10. Stamp maple leaf onto insert (as in Step 2), and adhere to inside of card, and over Merry Merlot tab.
11. Add three Polished Dots to card front.
