Sorry to See You Go, In Colors!!

Welcome to the March edition of our blog hop! You may have noticed that we have a new logo, and a new name--Coast to Coast Creators!! This makes sense, because our team is made up of demonstrators from all across Canada--from Vancouver Island all the way to the Maritimes!! This month we are paying tribute to our collection of 2020-2022 "In Colors" (Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Cinnamon Cider, and Bumble Bee), which will be retiring when our new Annual Catalogue comes out in May. Our ink pads, ink refills, cardstock, Stampin' Blends, and Stampin' Write Markers will sell out quickly, so if you need to restock, order quickly!

If you live in Canada, click here to order in my online store here, and receive a gift from me!

My three favourites of the five are Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, and Magenta Madness, and I've featured these in this card. I used our Dandelion Garden and Quiet Meadow cling stamp sets.

I stamped in Versamark, and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. My original intent was to leave it at that, but I decided to add some touches of colour with Stampin' Blends, as well as use a White Stampin' Chalk Marker for the petals of the daisy. This card came together quite quickly--see the directions below.

  1. Cut the following layers:
    • Misty Moonlight cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4""; 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
    • Just Jade cardstock: 3-15/16" x 5-3/16"
    • Basic White cardstock: 1-3/4" x 1-1/2" (for sentiment)--cut with Stitched So Sweetly die
  2. Stamp the flowers and butterflies in Versamark on the smaller Misty Moonlight layer, and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
  3. Colour the flowers, leaves, and daisy centres with Stampin' Blends (Magenta Madness, Just Jade, and Cinnamon Cider). Use a White Stampin' Chalk Marker to fill in the petals of the daisies.
  4. Wrap a 16" piece of ribbon around the card front and tie into a bow.
  5. Stamp sentiment in Just Jade on Basic White die cut label, and add to card front with Dimensionals.
  6. Add three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
